Photos from McMurdo

Hi from Antarctica. Many people have been asking for more photos. So, here’s a post that’s full of them!

The pressure ridges just off the eastern side of the Hut Point Peninsula (where McMurdo is). These ridges are now much shorter as they are melting with the "heat" of summer.

Heading out to Castle Rock for my first Antarctica hike. (Castle Rock is the dark spot behind the clouds.) That little dot ahead and to the right in the snow is a sismology calibration site. Mt. Erebus, the large volcano that shares our island, is covered in sismology sensors to try to detect any activity and determine the volcano’s interior geology.

Thanks for reading!
